Our year-end campaign is critical to the success of our education programs for low-income students of color. Half of the support we receive from individuals typically comes in at the end of the calendar year, and we hope this year is no different. 2009 SMASH Application Now Available
LPFI’s SMASH Academy is now accepting applications! We are looking for rising sophomores who are passionate about math and science, are low-income and are under-represented students of color. The SMASH Academy include a five-week residential, rigorous academic program on the UC Berkeley campus in the summer and SAT prep and college planning during the school year.
To apply, students must complete the 2009 application, posted on our website. LPFI will also host a SMASH Info Night in San Francisco on January 29. To attend, RSVP to [shannon AT lpfi DOT org] or call 415-946-3033.
