PARTICIPATE IN THE TEACHERS AS LEADERS TRAINING ACADEMY:  After years of evidence that SMASH significantly enhances how teachers teach science and mathematics during the school year, we are working to leverage SMASH as a training program for promising math and science teachers.

The forthcoming STEM Teachers as Leaders Training Academy will afford teachers the opportunity to participate in an immersive, six-week summer training experience.  Teachers will spend 60% of their time teaching the SMASH curriculum, and 40% participating in collaborative and interactive workshops that will prepare them to use SMASH methods in their schools.  LPFI will continue to provide teacher support throughout the academic year in the form of hosting webinars and collaborative teacher meetings, and through mentorships.  The STEM Teachers as Leaders Fellowship will launch in Summer 2012.

STEM Teachers interested in the Teachers as Leaders Fellowship Program for 2012 should contact LPFI's Education Director, Dr. Jarvis Sulcer.
